Emergency Town Hall: No! to the Nuisance Gas Station

RCA called an emergency town hall to oppose the convenience store gas station proposed for Southmore and Live Oak (City of Houston application 2025-2294). RCA's follow-up letters report that hundreds of residents attended and 450 signatures were collected.
MacGregor Super Neighborhood, Friends of Riverside Park, and the Southwood, Southwood Oaks, Canfield Oaks and South MacGregor civic groups joined RCA's letter of opposition. According to RCA's April 2026 meeting notes, the application was later withdrawn because of improper notice.
